Sick Day Activities

Here are a few ideas of what to do when you're home with your sick child(ren)...

Tub Time Adventures

Fill the tub up with some suds and go for an adventure! Warm baths are always a favourite when you’re sick, so why not spice it up. Add some bubbles and new toys and be creative. Have your child pretend they are swimming in the ocean, or create funky bubble beards and hair.

Pamper Yourself

Who doesn’t feel better after a day at the spa? Enjoy soaking in the tub, take turns painting each other’s nails, do your child’s hair in a funky new way, and even try a facial! Or better yet, make your own facials together.

Movie Marathon

We try to limit time spent in front of a screen when kids are well, however sick days are a perfect time for a movie marathon. You and your child can pick out a couple of their favourite movies or TV shows and spend quality time snuggling together while watching the show and eating some healthy snacks.

Build a Fort

A favourite among children everywhere. Usually making a mess in the house is a bad thing, but why not make it fun for a day? Build a fort in the living room or their bedroom with couch cushions, pillows, chairs and blankets. Once you’re finished building your fort, have story time or a movie marathon while hanging out in your new spot.
