The Crisis Center in North Bay offers several services including the Four Elms Emergency Shelter, Nipissing Detention Center and Futures Residence. The Four Elms Shelter accepts men, women and children who are experiencing housing crisis. There are meals, showers and a place to sleep. The staff at the shelter assist with reasons that have brought these individuals or families to the shelter.

The Shelter also offers non-residential programs such as the Nipissing Supervised Access Center, the Nipissing Attendance Center, the Community Transitional Housing Program and the 24-Hour Crisis Line.
